Well. The last 5 years of driving have been a pure pleasure. It's one of those things that only a select few (Blue Yes & TDL) could only understand. The ETA on the new Turbo is tommorrow sometime and I'm starting to feel like I'm losing something very special in my life. (Tissues please) I've just got to convince myself i've made the right decision.
now that's what i like to hear. no substitute for cubic inches :) hohohoho..
Posted by: blue yes at May 29, 2003 08:22 PMJohn, old friend. Let me reassure you then. The thing looks great, and it's bigger and more useful. I liked your Mazda, but personally, I like to have a bit more car around me, if you know what I mean. That's what yer gettin'. More car! I think you made a good choice. I suspect you'll find it more refined and a little less buzzy... more of a gentlemans' car. :-) Put it this way... if you're happy with the Vectra, you'll probably be happy with this (reliability wise I mean). Personally, I think the only thing you'll miss is the RWD.... but otherwise, I'd consider it an up-grade. I had a chance to drive an SS and a new BA XR8 not long ago.... hence my recent love of heavier "blokey" cars and less interest in the Turbo this and Turbo that, but you'll enjoy this... have no fear..... err.... anyway, back to my Turbo 850R then :-) Time to go home.
Cheers,
Shem
PS: The XR8 is amazing!!!
long live the world's best sports car..
Posted by: blue yes at May 29, 2003 12:40 PMI'm on the bandwagon .. My PUG is closer than ever .. I only hope that offloading my ZX and the other heap of drive around shit (Laser) isn't going to be as difficult as I am imagining. If only I had of had a nice well kept MX as a trade I'd be laughing. : ) I think you made a solid decision J .. nice trade up. All you need now is a driving scarf and some figerless gloves...
