The Optio Mirror Project

Well the weather has been quite dreary so I have yet to take any nice shots with the new Optio S. So I present the Optio Mirror Project (the concept sounds familiar ;) ). This is where I try and get the Optio in the picture. Anyway here are two shots of the digi upstairs in the office.

Went to see 'The Italian Job' on the weekend. If you loved 'Oceans 11' you will love this. I thought it was pretty good. The MINI Cooper S's were hot, me wants one. Fantastic action scenes. Charleze Theron looked mighty fine, and Seth Green was a laugh as always. Overall, it's a movie worth watching on the big screen.

I plyed around with a menu otion that allow you to modify the White Balance based on you environment. The first image used the Auto White Balance that produced a yellow effect. When I changed it to the indoor light globe setting (I think it was called tungsteon) It came out perfect. There are White Balance settings for sunny outdoors, shade, fluro lights and manual adjust. The good thing is the menu is easy to use and changing these settings on the fly becomes second nature. I'll have a look at the 'my first shots section'. Do you have many shots up at MP?

nice JC. what'd you do in the 2nd shot that made the photo come out so much clearer than the 1st? you should submit those to the mirror project. i think there's a gallery for "my first shots with my new camera" :)
