Brodie Holland only gets 2 weeks, what a joke. Others get more weeks for a lesser offence. I guess it pays to have Eddie as your main man.

Posted by: [jc] at August 29, 2003 01:26 PMyes, eddie is running the AFL..
tonight's game (essendon v collingwood) is said to be a sell out at the G. standing room only left in the AFL members. but because it's a collingwood home game, channel 9 aren't going to show the game live to run the risk of collingwood losing money from people staying home..
so us essendon supports who couldn't get tickets, have to watch it on tele with an hour delay. you bastard eddie..
Posted by: blue yes at August 29, 2003 09:45 AMDepending on the level of provocation and injuries sustained by my good self, any court of law may recognise these mitigating circumstances and give you a lessor sentence.
Posted by: tdl at August 28, 2003 11:43 AMSo if you provoked me and I ran you over with my car, I should get a lighter sentence?
Posted by: [jc] at August 28, 2003 10:27 AMOh no, no, no :))
1) Alledged punch from player Holland did not fully impact on player Williams, rather, a mere graze if one can call it that.
2) Alledged and totally out of character punch by player Holland was provoked by prior vicious & mallous strike(s) by player Williams which was edited from the footage shown to Collis & Co by rival network Channel 10.
I am sure that other learned observers of our game such as Thomas, rather than those "simple folk enchanted by our game - S. Newman" will concur with my comments.
