Back from Brampton

Hi all, We're back again. Back from the beautiful and sunny Brampton Island off the North-East coast of Australia.

The weather was fantastic, met lots of people, took jetskis around the islands, swam with turtles and sting rays, went sailing daily had lots of yummy icecream and lots-lots more.

Why is the journey home from a holiday always such a pain? I guess ours was made worse by going the long way due to using points for our flight. The trip home involved:
- Catching a train from the resort to the deep sea jetty at Brampton Island
- Catching a boat from the jetty to Mackay mariner
- Catching a bus to Mackay airport
- Catching a plane to Brisbane airport
- Catching a plane to Sydney airport
- Catching a plane to Melbourne airport
- Finaly driving our car home.

All that's missing from that list is a tram and a space shuttle. All is fine though. We are back and very tanned.

Plenty of pix were taken as well. Here's a panoramic one to keep you going until I filter through all the shots and work out which are worthy of posting.

Great shot, did that come out of the brochure, It looks exactly like the one in my brochure???

Cheech, i have a great idea. do you want to get away from it all for a few days? let's jump on a plane and where we land, we just party for a few days non-stop. i don't know about some R+R, but i wouldn't mind a little R+T!

Johns has a note from his doctor saying he needs to go away for a paradise style holiday at least 15 times a year.

He never said what would happen if he didn't get his R+R ......

I know what happens when I don't get mine .. does the term "postal worker" give away any hits.

This holiday had been booked over six months ago. The Hawaii one was a spur of the moment. Just to let you know this panoramic shot was taken with the Olympus. What I might start doing is labelling the shots by which camera they came from. The Pentax is great but I still feel the Olympus has a far better lens and give me far more control over the shot I'm about to take.

great shot! that little digi cam of yours does a great job of the panoramic stuff. look forward to seeing more pix. i just can't believe you went on another holiday. i think i need one..
