What a great Melbourne Cup.

Well it started off last night (cup eve). Chelle picked up our three neices and brought them over for a sleep over. We stayed up most of night having a FRIENDS marathon. I forgot how GOOD the early episodes were.

Got up this morning to a wonderful 24degrees and decided to take my annual punt on the horses. The Melbourne Cup is the only time and race I bet on all year. Luv the way they have the Melbourne Cup cards already marked at the TAB. All you need to do is pick the horse and how much you are going to bet. Well, you'll be pleased to know I put $5 on number 12 to win (and it did) and Chelle put $5 on 17 to come a place (and it did as well). Our little $10 investement has won us approximately $100. Not bad concidering we have no idea about horse racing.

We went to celebrate my little god sons 5th birthday today as well. They grow up soooo fast. A BBQ and lots of David's mum's triffle. I LUV TRIFFLE. All that jelly, custard, fruit, sponge cake, cream and peppermint crisp chocolate flakes mixed together in a bowl. YUMMY.

Then we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at the RIVA bar. A few beers and laughs with several friend we met up with. The boys had a great time PEOPLE WATCHING as there were some very choice specimens of the opposite gender there. They got to meet a few of them as well which made for a great day for all.

Went and watched MATRIX REVOLUTIONS.

I would summerise it as

BOLD + THE BEAUTIFUL meet THE A TEAM !!!

Almost worth asking for your money back.

If you wanna unearth the plot - cause you were lost in the BS as I was. THEN READ ON:

After reading and re-reading various discussion forums regarding the storyline and, most importantly, the fate of the human race, I have found no evidence to suggest that my initial conclusion that humanity, according to The Matrix storyline, is doomed to extinction.
How have I reached this conclusion when The Matrix: Revolutions obviously depicts peace between man and machine? Much of the story is revealed in the final few minutes of Reloaded during the discussion between Neo and the Architect. Here, it is revealed that approximately every 100 years Zion is destroyed and that humanity’s consciousness and memories within the Matrix and within Zion is all-inclusively and simultaneously erased and re-formatted to accept reality as it was 100 years prior. Some of the details include Neo having to choose the 23 humans who will re-populate Zion for the next hundred years before it is destroyed once again. So goes the cycle.
However, this would assume that Zion and those humans within Zion are part of the Matrix, still “plugged in”, and being used by the machines as power – just on another level of the program written by the Architect and devised by the Oracle. This assumption is exactly correct. This leads to Neo’s ability to “feel” and control the Machines while in the reality of Zion, as well as Agent Smith’s ability to permeate the Matrix and enter Zion’s reality within the body of Bane. You may then ask the question: Why can’t Morpheus, Trinity, and Neo perform their superhuman feats in Zion as they do in the Matrix? This is so because they believe they are free and in a free reality where they are bound by gravity and other laws of science. After all, this is exactly what the machines want them to believe. Therefore, the reality of Zion is another level and system of control similar to the Matrix, but set up by the Architect and the Oracle to “catch” those who wake up from the primary Matrix program.
As a result of the turn of events in The Matrix: Revolutions where Agent Smith and Neo alters each others consciousness so that neither are limited to the current systems of reality in place, the Oracle is once again consulted by the Architect to devise another level of control within the reality of Zion that the humans can accept as “real” and continue being content in their pod while their consciousness is unknowingly trapped in a program. Hence, Neo is used as an anti-virus to counter the virus program which is Agent Smith – first anomaly terminated. At the same time, those humans in the reality of Zion are led to believe that Neo will perform a miracle and save humanity. This is accomplished with the deal between Neo and the machine representation of their consciousness (that large spiked metal ball) whereby Neo will rid the machines of Agent Smith in return for peace between the machines and the humans in Zion. In the process of destroying Agent Smith, Neo dies – second anomaly terminated. As promised, the machines retreat at the footsteps of humanity’s apparent destruction within Zion to honor the peace they agreed upon. Something to think about - Since when do these machines honor their promises? If Zion was reality in the truest sense, then the machines, who lack any form of empathy, honor, or dignity, would get what they want (termination of the two anomalies) and rid themselves of a thorn in their side (the destruction of the last city of humanity). To reiterate, they honor this peace in order to satisfy the consciousness of the humans within the reality of Zion and maintain their compliance as an energy source for the machines. This also provides for a suitable reality for those who “wake up” from the primary Matrix program.
In conclusion, all of the humans within the primary Matrix program and the reality of Zion have never “woken up” or ever been free in the truest sense. Furthermore, if the Oracle continues to excel at her purpose and function to fool humanity into trusting their reality, then no human will ever wake up or be truly free. If the Oracle is successful, all of humanity is, and forever will be, “plugged in” to function as nothing more than an energy source for the machines. That is, until the clouds clear and the machines are free to use the Sun as their primary energy source and no longer need to keep humanity alive. This leads me to my final conclusion that, according to The Matrix storyline, the human race will eventually be extinct.

yep J you are correct I've been stuck at home all 3 days, today inclusive.

Marlon went and had a topsy turvy time at Darby and Melb Cup.
But when he came home told me all about the Hilton sisters that were in the Birdcage.

If you have a TV close by tho keep an eye out for Rose as she has entered fashions on the field again this year with her own creations again.

But yep back to the GP04 hopefully I'll get to go on the Friday, with my brothers ticket and leave the little one with mum, even tho the cars are only out on the Sat and Sunday next year, new rules.

I would have given u M's tips but PC was up the fritz and you did well regardless.
