Thanks to blueyes here's a link to pictures of the next generation MX-5.

What are your thoughts? I love the back. The flared wheel arches when viewed from the side have an RX-8 feel to them. Twin fart tubes, woohoo. Not sure about the front. All in all, it is a beautiful piece of machinery. (I must admit, I was far more impressed when I first eye-balled a 2nd gen MX-5 back in the late 90's)

I do agree, the front is very Nissan NX ish.

i want to see the front in the flesh. i'm not that happy with the headlight treatment. it looks too much like the nissan nx coupe from the early 90s, although it still says "mazda". but i love how the whole shape of the car has just evolved. no reinventing of the wheel here. although i heard, they had to make te car more "male" like for the US market. will this mean the new mx won't appeal to the fairer sex anymore?

It looks just like a usual MX-5, same old stuff... can't they come up with something new?

Ha! Yesterday I blogged as follows about the Melbourne Motor Show:

"Over at Mazda, the new (3rd generation) MX-5 looks stunning. Clean, fresh, just lovely. No weird-ass, bent-outta-shape, upside-down, Chris Bangle/BMW/Frankenstein experiments here, thanks very much. And so it should be.
"

I should just say what I think huh?
