You know the silly season is upon us when you start to get lunch and dinner invitations to xmas functions. The city pubs and cafe's are full of people enjoying themselves.
Driving through my neighbourhood tonight I could see that the merry folk have embraced the season by puting up xmas lights and various santas, snowmen and more lights on their front lawns. I love this time of the year. I will try to take some night shots of these lights, we'll see how they turn out.
Well that's the theme music to SWAT. Went to see it friday night. Enjoyed it but I thought the action scenes could have been a little better. The movie actually followed a nice dinner at my favourite Thai restaurant up Malvern Rd (Typically Thai). Luv that special fried rice and the 'pad num prig pow with cashews'.
Saturday started off the way it always does. Cleaning and washing!!! Thought i'd go for a jog instead of a swim as i still don't feel 100% since i've had this damn flu or virus or whatever they're calling it these days. Good thing i only did the jog cause within 10 minutes of jogging i had a cough attack, coughing out oysters. So i did an about face and came on home.
Went to TGI's at the Jam factory for Christine's birthday, we all had a great time. Great night for it too, the weather has just been amazing 30+ for the last few days. All up a great weekend. Putting up the xmas tree tommorrow :)
On days like this how can I not miss my MX-5. Me wants one again. Why did I let you go? :((
I'm officially an xBox addict. Project Gotham 2 is the latest interest. Spent last night driving a Mazda Miata (mx-5), smashed the poor thing a few times but hey it's only a game.
Well, I watched the game on Saturday night like many millions did across Australia and the world. I've changed my opinion, rugby isn't too bad a sport. Prior to the final I had tried watching a few games but they were just so damn boring. Nothing beats AFL. The final had it all. A good start for us Aussies, lots of field goals by the English, plenty of wet weather fumbling, extra time and plenty of 11th hour scoring. Well done England for a fantastic win and well done to both teams for putting together a great final.
I still don't think I'll be watching any more rugby any time soon though.
Hi all. Over the weekend this beautiful little woman (Laura), had her confirmation and I was chosen by her to be her sposor. Thanks Laura, I am truly honoured.

Now it's time to xBox a little more. Blog again later.
I know it has been a while but I've had quite a few things on. Weddings, Confirmations, Dinners and a midnight visit to the emergency ward of the local hospital. I've also been crook with this VERY chesty cold that has driven me crazy. The following free acquisition (thanks to ANZ reward points) has helped me though.

Well it started off last night (cup eve). Chelle picked up our three neices and brought them over for a sleep over. We stayed up most of night having a FRIENDS marathon. I forgot how GOOD the early episodes were.
Got up this morning to a wonderful 24degrees and decided to take my annual punt on the horses. The Melbourne Cup is the only time and race I bet on all year. Luv the way they have the Melbourne Cup cards already marked at the TAB. All you need to do is pick the horse and how much you are going to bet. Well, you'll be pleased to know I put $5 on number 12 to win (and it did) and Chelle put $5 on 17 to come a place (and it did as well). Our little $10 investement has won us approximately $100. Not bad concidering we have no idea about horse racing.
We went to celebrate my little god sons 5th birthday today as well. They grow up soooo fast. A BBQ and lots of David's mum's triffle. I LUV TRIFFLE. All that jelly, custard, fruit, sponge cake, cream and peppermint crisp chocolate flakes mixed together in a bowl. YUMMY.
Then we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at the RIVA bar. A few beers and laughs with several friend we met up with. The boys had a great time PEOPLE WATCHING as there were some very choice specimens of the opposite gender there. They got to meet a few of them as well which made for a great day for all.
Ok, tomorrow we have the Melbourne Cup. I know nothing about horses and have no idea which horse is worth betting on. I only ever bet money on horses once a year. I want names or numbers. Pass them over. Giddyup.
Blueyes just keeps reeling them in. Here's the english version of the Tokyo Motorshow web-site.
Put another panoramic shot together. This one's of a nice sunset up in Brampton. If you look close enough you can actualy see where each shot (3 of them) was merged to create the whole picture. Not my best work but I still like it.
Do you like how I've not centered the sun? Almost all sunset shots are in the middle of the frame. Thought I'd try something different.
Shem how's Panther going? We want details.
