Good to see you again

An old high school friend popped by the other day. It's been a good five years since I last saw him. After high school he decided to go caddying around the world and now lives in Canada. Good to see you Jason. Lets make the next visit sooner rather than later.

Tim, Jason and me

I'm off footy once again. Went to see the Tigers tonight and they were pathetic. The scarey thing is that i have not noticed ANY improvement since last season. Even last week's win wasn't a skill fest. On paper we look good. Where does it go wrong on game day?

Melbourne by night

I've decided I might start a 'Melbourne by night' series and try and pop a few shots of our Most Liveable City in the World (2 years running). I've been around the world but this is the place to be.

Reflections, looking back

Walking back to the car park I noticed this.

Well, you'll be happy to know the mighty Tigers defeated the doggies last night 105 to 81. Totally unexpected as four of our key players were out. Tonight's game was an interesting one. The Pies were thumped by the Eagles by 105 points. 131 to 26. Not a happy night for the Collingwood folk.

What's New

Well, just heard this is the last season for ANGEL. WHY??? This season is amazing.

Footy starts tomorrow night. Tigers v Doggies. Can't wait. This pre-season comp is always a good sign, it means the main season is not that far away. WooHoo.

Latest CD purchase is 'Songs about Jane' by Maroon 5. Luv it. Not sure how to describe it but it's a mixture of Lounge, Funk, rock and something you'd hear back in the 70's. Don't mind Pete Murray's new track 'So Beautiful' might look at getting his CD 'Feeler' as well.

At last she gets one

Kylie has finally got herself a Grammy. Well done. She's been number one in the UK, Europe and here for over a decade. Man it's taken a while to get one. Now, can someone please tell me why they've cut the footage of her receiving it in tonight's DELAYED by 10+hrs telecast? We aussies still don't rate a mention.

Now on something far more exciting, FOOTY STARTS IN UNDER 2 WEEKS. Man I can't wait. Go Tigers.

Lotusphere 2004 is over

Another Lotusphere is over and another Lotusphere I didn't attend. Well to be honest I've never been. Flying to a conference in Orlando, the famous home of Disney World would be fantastic but for us Aussie Lotus Notes Geeks (since version 3.x) it's a little TOO far and TOO expensive. Once apon a time we used to have a 3 day event here called LotusFusion. (I can't remember when the last one was held) It was pretty much a mini Lotusphere. Managed to attend a few of them through the years in Sydney, Melbourne and Surfers Paradise.

Here is the Lotusphere 2004 wrap up for anyone that cares. The keyword for this year is WORKPLACE.

Bloody Spam

Today I was hit with comment based spam 106 times. To try and get rid of these would have taken a long time trying to locate the dodgy comments and deleting them one by one. So I went searching and found this little baby.

MT-Blacklist is a plugin for Movable Type which provides for content-based blocking and one-step cleanup of comment and trackback spam...

If you are running Movable Type and want to try and block some of this spam this is a very simple and solid solution. Installation was simple but stumped me on one little bit where I was asked to type the REAL path in a particular file. The key here is that the path for some of us can be found in the .htaccess file we had setup to get MT running in the first place.
