All these complaints

Well, It has been a VERY busy last few weeks. Trying to wrap up as much work as I can b4 junior turns up. Can't wait. The nursery is done, the baby seat fitted and the bags packed for the occassion.

It's almost that time for a new mobile phone as well. Must haves:
- Bluetooth
- Large colour screen with far more than the standard 4096 colours.
- FM Radio
- maybe clam shell style this time.
- Polyphonic ring tones
- SyncML

The yet to be released Nokia 6260 looks good feature wise but I wish it kinda looked more like the Nokia 6170 with the little screen on the outside. Click on the angle shots to see more pix.

Anyone recommend any good phones?

Sore Losers

Here's part of a great article in today's (well yestreday's) Herald Sun.

PORTUGAL's shell-shocked players could not resist firing some barbs at their Euro 2004 final conquerers Greece, accusing Otto Rehhagel's side of boring their way to the title.

"It is regrettable that a team that does nothing but defend ends up as European champion," said striker Pauleta after the 1-0 final defeat.
"If you ask me it is a strange way to play football but we cannot say we didn't know about it. They have played like that for quite a while now, with everyone behind the ball.

"You have to ask yourself if they can take any pleasure from playing like that but it seems they do," added Pauleta, who failed to score throughout the tournament. ...

Why be a sore loser? Take the fricken loss gracefully. The Greeks played fair and played according to a plan based on their own strengths. I do have a question for him. If the Greeks defended throughout the whole tournament then why was the Greek team the only team to beat Portugal in this tournament? Not only once but twice. I'd imagine a team needs to ATTACK once and a while to actually kick goals. Grow up.

Very Impressive

Some of the boys came over last night for a few beers, fish & chips and some pizza to watch the match of the season, (LOL) Rich v Bris. We lost as you would expect but the good news was that with a good 5-6 minutes left in the game there was only 6 points in it. Jay Shultz was a nice highlight for the Tigers with six goals.

A few useless facts for the game were:

  • The 28 points Richmond kicked in the 1st qtr was the highest score any team has kicked against Brisbane in Brisbane at quarter time this season.
  • Richmond outscored Brisbane in the 3rd qtr. Once again first team to outscore Brisbane in Brisbane during the 3rd qtr this season.

Told you they were useless facts. Go Greece tonight. Lets hope you take this euro2004 cup.

Silver Goal

Greek Logo
The Greeks kicked a Silver goal a few hours ago to win 1-0 and now make it to the Euro final. They play Nandos(Portugal) whom the beat back in the qualifiers. Rumors are they might be setting up a big screen in Lonsdale St for the final. Can anyone confirm?

Is Commodore Back?

While surfing the Shemster's site tonight I linked off to one of his **Daily Specials** links to the Commodore site. Well, well, well. They have a Commodore 64 joystick coming out that plugs straight into your TV with 30 games pre-installed. They also have a few iPod looking devices with names based on the classic Vic-20 and PET hardware that made them famous pre the Commodore 64 and Amiga.

Commodore Logo

Go the Commodore chicken head. I luv that logo. True story, I once concidered considered it as a tattoo. It's a bit the like the Apple logo.
