It's not the camera. It's the operator.
As discussed:
1. How it feels in your hand (vertical vs horizontal design)
2. Resolution
3. Manul control if you want to be creative
4. Good optical zoom might be handy
5. Quality of stills is secondary since you have a still camera already
6. Picture quality in dark conditions
7. Focus in difficult/changing conditions
The rest is all quite good these days.
That would be my list, in no particular order.
